The Electricity Association of Ireland (EAI) has elected Brendan Kelly, Head of Commercial at BnM, as Chair of the Association and Kevin Hannafin, Director of Regulation at Energia, as Vice-Chair.
The Electricity Association is the policy body for the industry with members including Bord Gáis Energy, BnM, Electric Ireland, Energia, EPUKI, ESB Generation, ESB Networks Flogas, Prepay Power, Rusal Aughinish, SSE Airtricity and Yuno Energy. Its associate membership includes AXPO, Captured Carbon, Ecopower supply, Electroroute, Indaver, Lumcloon Energy, Northern Ireland Networks, Orsted, Pinergy and Share Energy.
Brendan Kelly succeeds outgoing Chair Peter O’Shea, Head of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs of ESB. He will lead the Association as Ireland’s electricity sector continues to deliver the transition to a secure, affordable and decarbonised energy system. Vice-Chair Kevin Hannafin will support the Chair and the Association’s work in representing the interests of Ireland’s electricity industry at home and abroad.
